ALHAMDULILLAH THE MOON HAS BEEN SIGHTED AND EID AL FITR IS TOMORROW, WEDNESDAY, JULY 6TH.
The prayer will be tomorrow, the takbeerah will start at 8:30 A.M. and the prayer will start at 9:00 A.M. sharp. It will take place at the Marriot in Frigate Bay, there will be people there to guide you. Please get there early, as we will be starting on time and will not delay.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ ordered the paying of Sadaqah Al-Fitr as a means of purification for the fasting person due to his indulgence in nugatory and vain conduct, and as a nourishment for the needy. Whoever pays it before the prayer, then it is accepted as a charity of Zakah. Whoever pays it after the prayer, then it is merely a general charity (sadaqah). (Abu Dawud 1609, Ibn Majah 1827) Those who want to pay Zakat Al-Fitr, must do so before Eid prayer on the island. |
We will also be taking donations at the door to pay for the Eid costs, with the recommended donation being 20 EC. Please donate what you can, as the costs for the hall and refreshments is not negligible.
